About Me

My photo
Hey, it's Chelsy, with a Y! I am a wife to my sweet prince, and mother to one spunky little princess and one handsome little ham of a prince. Painting is my drug of choice. Wine is good too. I'm known to speak without thinking and eat to much chocolate. I love meeting new people, and learning new things. So this is my journey through some not so glorious moments, some not so intelligent thoughts and some possibly crafty ideas.

Snazzy Last Minute Pumpkins

Hey Everybody! Are you ready for All Hallows Eve? No? Me either. I have a few last minute things I need to finish on Rapunzels costume. But I wanted to share with you a super easy and cute craft (that's how I roll) to make for your little ones candy buckets.
Cute, huh?!

All you need is:
A pumpkin bucket (These are everywhere, I got mine at Wal-Mart for $1)
Glue
Glitter
Ribbon

Then, all you do is put a little glue on, sprinkle some glitter, and add your ribbons. Rocket science, huh?! This seriously took me about 20 minutes to do both! If your kids are older, this is a great project for them to do. Mine are still at the age where they would rather eat the glue and glitter than make something fun with it!

For my girls pumpkin, I added a ribbon handle and a few ribbons on the side.

I wasn't sure my boy would appreciate all the ribbon, but I had to do something, so I just added a little bow to the side. Surely he wouldn't mind that, right?

`
Don't worry if they aren't perfect, your little ones will love it. Mine sure did! And the simplicity of it, makes it so worth it!

Now, go make your little ones some super snazzy candy buckets! Thanks for reading!

Happy Halloween,
Chelsy

Highlight of my week!

I’ve learned all my life that it is not polite to brag. Not polite at all. But….BUT…sometimes, like now, I just can’t help myself. This is so super stinking cool, I just had to share it. I know most of you have heard of the 100 Days of Holidays on Parents.com. If not you seriously need to check it out, it went live on Sept. 16 and will run through January 1, 2012. I’m not only mentioning this, because it has tons of super cute, fun and creative crafts and ideas, it also has one of MY creative crafts! I. KNOW. I was so humbled when I received an email asking permission to use my Yarn Snowman. Here is the link that will take you directly to the slideshow that Jack appears in. The slideshow doesn’t air until November 11, so you all are getting a sneak peak! Here is the link to sign up to be emailed all the 100 Days of Holidays crafts.

I absolutely love blogging, and crafting. It’s sometimes hard to find the time to do it, but all the inspiration and admiration I get from my readers makes it totally worth it. Thank you all so much. I can not express how much you all mean to me!
